As the current (and soon outgoing) Chairperson of the ASEAN Social Work Consortium Philippines (ASWC-PH), KBF Executive Director, Glady Bunao had the privilege of presiding over the Consultation and Planning Workshop, alongside the unwavering support of the Presidents and Official Representatives of Social Work Organizations who are members ASWC-PH. This gathering was further enriched by the expertise of the DSWD Academy team, led by Usec. Bragas and Asec. Armas, whose valuable contributions helped shape the discussions.
Key agenda items included the Mutual Recognition Agreement (MRA) for professional mobility (thank you, PASWI, for leading the discussion), the Magna Carta for Public Social Workers, and the Terms of Reference for ASWC-PH—all vital in strengthening the profession and reinforcing collective vision.
This workshop laid a strong foundation for future advocacy and collaboration, setting the stage for a meaningful and productive year ahead, including preparations for the much-anticipated 13th ASEAN Social Work Consortium Regional Conference!
