Kaisahang Buhay Foundation (KBF) actively took part in the ASEAN Social Work Day 2025, a landmark event that also marked the official launch of the Regional Guidance for ASEAN on the Role of Social Workers and the Wider Social Service Workforce in Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Resilience.
Representing KBF with pride and commitment, our Executive Director, Glady Bunao, played a key role in this significant gathering. As the Chairperson of the ASEAN Social Work Consortium Philippines, E.D. Glady was invited to deliver a powerful solidarity message, underscoring the indispensable role of social workers in mitigating disaster risks and championing the needs of vulnerable communities.
This milestone event reaffirmed the vital contributions of social workers in disaster preparedness, response, and recovery—ensuring that children, families, and at-risk populations receive the protection and support they deserve. KBF remains steadfast in its commitment to strengthening social work initiatives that build resilience and foster safer, more inclusive communities across the region.
