Kaisahang Buhay Foundation, Inc. (KBF), in partnership with House of Refuge Foundation, Inc. (HORFI), recently conducted a Trust-Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI®) Seminar for thirty (30) parents of FCOP–Educational Assistance Service (EAS) beneficiaries.

The session, facilitated by Ms. Glady Bunao, RSW, MSW, Executive Director of KBF and a certified TBRI® Practitioner, was truly inspiring and empowering, leaving a meaningful impact on the participants while reflecting the organization’s mission and vision.

The parents deeply appreciated learning the three core principles of TBRI® as defined by Dr. Karyn Purvis:

✨ Connecting Principles – creating authentic, nurturing relationships that build trust and attachment, forming the foundation for healing.

✨ Empowering Principles – meeting children’s physical and environmental needs (nutrition, hydration, structure, and felt safety) so they can succeed.

✨ Correcting Principles – teaching life values and social skills with both nurture and structure, using proactive and responsive strategies to guide behavior with compassion.

To all the amazing parents, houseparents, and caregivers who showed up with open hearts and a willingness to learn, thank you for investing in the journey of healing that begins with connection, trust, and compassion.

“When we connect with the heart of a child, we unlock the door to healing, growth, and hope.” — Dr. Karyn Purvis.
